What Atera is
Atera is an all-in-one RMM and PSA platform for MSPs, with its AI split across two products. Copilot is embedded in the technician console: it summarises tickets, generates scripts and runs device health checks while the technician drives. Robin, which Atera renamed from IT Autopilot, is the autonomous product: it detects, diagnoses and resolves end-user issues across Slack, Teams, email and the customer portal, escalating when it needs to. Both run on Atera's own agent, within the Atera platform.

Resolution model

Atera: Atera splits the two. Copilot works with the technician in the console, summarising, generating scripts and running device checks under their direction. Robin, renamed from IT Autopilot, works autonomously with end users across Slack, Teams, email and the portal, escalating when it needs to.

SuperIT: The SuperIT endpoint agent runs on Windows, macOS and Linux alongside the RMM you already have, and feeds a live Digital Twin: a continuously updated model of devices, network, identity and services and how they relate. Atera: Atera's agent is part of the Atera platform and gives Copilot and Robin device state and remote actions across the estate it manages.

Human role
SuperIT: You set the level of autonomy per customer. The same agent can run read-only for one client, require a named approver for another and close autonomously for a third, with a human in the loop wherever you want one. It is configured to the service provider and to each of their customers, not set globally by us.
Atera: Technicians own the work Copilot assists with, and Robin escalates to them when it reaches its limits.
